Solar Economics.
What is it worth to you to own a Solar Laser System?
Acro Solar offers power for less than 59 cents per watt
In 1980, our 14 ft. Solar Laser System sold for $5,000.00 installed as a home
heating system, plus domestic hot water, and with an insulated hot water storage
tank. The cost of energy has increased from about $2.50 per thousand cubic feet
of gas in 1980 to and average $15.00 per thousand cubic feet of gas: delivered
thru the line to my home today.
I calculated that the 14 ft dish in the early years was worth over $300 per
month against electricity which was 10 cents per kilo Watt hour (kWh). That is
if you could use all the energy it puts out. Today electricity here is about
13.27 cents per kWh and on it's way up in a hurry. In northern climates energy
cost a lot more.
Today we sale mostly 8 foot and 44 inch dishes. The 8 ft, and 44" dishes can be
easily shipped any where in the world and have been shipped all over. The 44"
dish is easier to buy and is sold mostly as a domestic water heater, and or spa
heater. The 8 ft dishes are often installed as pool heaters. Some are installed
as space heaters, and domestic hot water. Many are installed with our 250 gallon
insulated tank, and a valve kit that can switch the dish from space and water
heating to pool heating. Some are used for radiant floor heating, and can be
plumbed to do any or all of the above by flipping ball valves. Brass ball valves
are the way to go as they can move from open to closed by a 90 degree turn of
the handle and last practically for ever.
Our Solar Laser Systems have now been developed into kit form and sold to home
owners who mostly install them their self or with a friend. Some are installed
by solar people who also offer service contracts. It's cheaper to do it you
self, but the economics are there in either case.
Pay Back
Pay back is down the road a piece, but not very far. In some cases pay back may
be about two years depending if you can use all the power it puts out Energy is on the lips of every one in the world in every
country today. It's not all about how much or how little there is in the earth,
but also about how much it cost to get it to your home or business. That cost
increases on a daily basis. If big oil discovers enough oil tomorrow to last the
world another thousand years, it won't help your hip pocket one bit. As a matter
of fact big oil and most of it's off spring monopolies are totally unregulated,
demanding, and making bigger profits by the day.
I am going to cut this short. You do the math, and see if you want a small oil
well in your back yard in the form of a Solar Laser System. Enthusiasts for
Sustainable low cost power may just put one in
the front yard like one of our customers in Chicago did.
If you want the cheapest energy on the Earth, the longest lasting, time proven,
storm and weather
resistant, and non polluting energy system, then you need the Solar Laser
System. It's cheaper today than it will ever be again.
